What is TikTok fulfilment?

What’s the difference between 3PL and a warehouse?

3PL (third-party logistics) is when the order fulfilment process for an online business is outsourced to an external company, who will typically have its own dedicated facilities (i.e. fulfilment centres) for storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. These fulfilment centres act as a distribution hub, turning inventory over quickly. This environment differs from a warehouse, which is designed for longer-term storage of goods, and can be more costly than working with a trusted 3PL provider.
